Formed in 1996, Flagler Group boasts an impressive track record and has established itself as a leader in the development industry through its forward thinking, superior investments and quality products.
Headed by Ricardo Dunin, Flagler Group's first project was The Mutiny, a $40 Million 172-Unit waterfront luxury condominium located in the heart of Miami in Coconut Grove. Flagler Group developed an upscale condo-hotel on the site — a first for South Florida — that ignited a tremendous wave of condo-hotels throughout the area. This innovative project won a “BEST” award from the Building Industry Association of South Florida and opened in 1998 to a project sell-out.
That same year, Flagler Group introduced its next project — Sonesta Hotel and Suites Coconut Grove. The $70 million, 211 unit condominium opened in April 2002 under the prestigious Sonesta Hotel and Resorts flag with a new name, Sonesta Hotel and Suites Coconut Grove.
Flagler Group's next development was The Meridian, a 111 unit Luxury Condominium in South Beach. In this $40 Million development Flagler Group focused on design, creating an impressive partnership between architects Bernard Zyscovich and Alison Spear that resulted in one of the most innovative buildings in South Florida, which received the 'Historical Preservation Award' from the Miami Design Preservation League. The last unit of The Meridian was delivered and closed in August 2005.
Flagler Group's other projects span the globe. Ricardo Dunin, Flagler's President is a principal partner in Le Sereno, a beachfront resort on the exclusive island of St. Barth. Le Sereno is designed by famed Parisian architect Christian Liaigre and is located on the east end of the island along 600 feet of beach on picturesque Grand Cul-de-Sac with 37 exquisitely furnished suites and villas. In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he is a partner with Performance, a real estate development company specializing in condominium, office, and hotel development.
Much of Flagler Group's success can be attributed to the presence and direct involvement of its principals in each of its projects. Their local presence enables them to develop and maintain relationships within the community, particularly among government officials, neighbors, civic and various trade groups. Flagler Group is committed to further developing the Florida skyline and will continue to serve as a front-runner in the real estate market well into the future.
